A 56-year-old man was killed in a single vehicle wreck in Jefferson County early Monday morning.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Michael Cooper was driving on northbound Rte. JJ south of Singer Ln. around 4:45 a.m. when his vehicle left the road.
Cooper’s car then struck a tree and overturned. Cooper was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the wreck was unknown.
