Christopher Doss shot in head, killed, before crashing SUV into truck
Man dies after shooting, wreck in St. Louis; suspect at large.
Police say a 23-year-old man found trapped inside a car after it crashed in St. Louis has died. But authorities say the wreck may have had nothing to do with his death.
Authorities were called to the 1200 block of N. Euclid around 4:30 p.m. Saturday and found a Ford Escape flipped on its top. The driver, Christopher Doss, was trapped inside.
Doss was taken out of the vehicle and transported to a hospital, where staff discovered he had been shot in the head. He was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses told police that the vehicle was traveling on Euclid when it struck an unoccupied truck and flipped over. Police say that witnesses saw a black male exit the vehicle and run from the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
