Teen killed after crashing into tree in Wildwood
Police say Keithley was westbound on Shepard Road when he lost control of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipseand crashed into a tree. Keithley, the only person in the car, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, police say. Keithley was a sophomore at Lafayette High School.

According to Principal Jay Scherder, Keithley was a sophomore at the school. He was on the swimming, volleyball and JV basketball teams. The basketball team has a tournament this weekend, and it has not yet been determined if the team wants to participate.
