Chester French, 46, and one person killed in collision on U.S. Highway 12 in East Helena, Montana

2 killed in head-on crash near East Helena

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 45-year-old man was westbound just after 10 p.m. Wednesday when for unknown reasons his vehicle crossed the median and into the path of an eastbound vehicle being driven by a 25-year-old man. 

Fatal crash update: Coroner identifies one of two people killed

Chester French, 46, of Helena, was behind the wheel of the truck heading west in the eastbound lane, Lewis and Clark County Coroner Bryan Backeberg said. The cause of death has yet to be determined.
