Cessna crashes in Big Belt Mountains

Searchers have located a single-engine airplane that crashed in the Big Belt Mountains just northeast of Canyon Ferry Lake. The condition of the plane's occupants has not been released. The Lewis and Clark County sheriff's office received a call at about 11 p.m. Wednesday from a woman who reported her husband had left the Helena airport at about 10 p.m. and had not yet arrived in White Sulphur Springs.

Authorities identify men killed in plane crash

Officials in Broadwater County have released the names of the two men killed in an airplane crash northeast of Helena. Lewis and Clark County officials have said the plane left the Helena airport at 10 p.m. Both men are from White Sulphur Springs. Wednesday headed for White Sulphur Springs. Sheriff Brenda Ludwig tells KFBB-TV that 59-year-old Johnny Gluhm and 86-year-old William Findley died in the crash Wednesday night in the Big Belt Mountains.
