42-year-old man killed, 37-year-old passenger injured, transported to hospital, after their pickup crashes at the intersection of Westhills Way and Blodgett Camp Road near Hamilton.
Man dies in rollover crash near Hamilton.
A 42-year-old man is dead after a single vehicle rollover crash Saturday night near Hamilton, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
MHP dispatchers say the Hamilton resident was driving a Chevy Silverado around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of Westhills Way and Blodgett Camp Road when he lost control of the truck, causing the vehicle to roll down an embankment.
We're told the truck came to a rest on its top. Emergency responders had to extricate the driver and a 37-year-old male passenger.
The passenger was transported to Marcus Daly Hospital, and the driver was pronounced dead on the scene, dispatchers said.
Both men were not wearing seat belts. Investigators determined speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
The roads were also wet during the time of the accident.
