Octavias Farr, 21, Jonathan Koch, 22, Nicholas Bisesi, 22, Benjamin Lenagh, 23, Cassie Brenner, 24, and Jonathan Kurth, 26, killed in single-vehicle crash on Randolph Street in Lincoln, Nebraska

The sedan struck a tree on the north side of Randolph Street, just beyond the sidewalk. Parts from the vehicle were scattered at the scene, including a tire.

Five men in the car died at the scene of the crash around 2:15 a.m. in Lincoln, about 3 miles east of the state Capitol, police said. A 24-year-old woman died later at a hospital where she was taken in critical condition.

First responders found that an eastbound Honda Accord had struck a tree on Randolph Street. A 24-year-old woman was extricated from the wreck and taken to a hospital, where she later died. 

Kurth, along with four passengers, died at the scene. Those pronounced dead at 5630 Randolph St. include Octavias Farr, 21, of Lincoln; Benjamin Lenagh, 23, of Omaha; Jonathan Koch, 22, of Lincoln; and Nicholas Bisesi, 22, of Lincoln.

Still, police don’t know exactly how fast the Accord was going, whether drugs or alcohol played a role, whether the driver was distracted or whether the vehicle malfunctioned ahead of the tragic crash.
