Woman Spends Two Days in Ravine After Crash

According to Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann, 54-year-old Beth Dean was westbound on Highway 66 when she reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. Her car drifted off the north edge of the road, went down a steep embankment where it struck a tree that kept it from plunging into a creek.
Dean suffered a leg injury, as well as possible internal injuries, and was taken to Nebraska Medical Center for treatment; her condition as of Tuesday Sep 30 is listed as fair.
