Two people die in plane crash in southeast Nebraska

Two men died when their plane crashed in southeast Nebraska, officials said Thursday.

 

Nemaha County Sheriff Brent Lohman said the county received a call about 11 p.m. Wednesday regarding a plane that had left Lincoln for the Auburn airport and had not returned to Lincoln as expected.

Sheriff Brent Lottman said the plane, which had departed Lincoln, Nebraska, and was en route to the airport in Auburn, Nebraska, was reported to have crashed around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The plane was supposed to come back to Lincoln but had not yet returned. Nemaha County sheriff's deputies found a wrecked plane about a mile south of the Auburn airport, which is east of town.

Two dead after plane crash in southeast Nebraska

Both occupants, 24-year-old Colton Hill of Kearney, and 41-year-old Dustan Biegler of Valparaiso, were pronounced dead at the scene.
