The 72-year-old woman who died in an accident at Valley of Fire State Park has been identified as Sharlene Cruz by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
The 72-year-old woman who died in an accident at Valley of Fire State Park has been identified as Sharlene Cruz by the Clark County Coroner's Office. According to police, at around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Cruz parked an SUV in the dirt parking lot of Lone Rock parking area and got out of the car. The SUV began to roll and as she attempted to get back in the vehicle, it hit a large rock formation pinning her between the rock and SUV. The coroner said her cause of death was asphyxia.
