Crashes shut down southbound I-15 lanes northeast of Las Vegas
A crash on Interstate 15 triggered a second crash that shut down the southbound lanes of the freeway just before 9 a.m. Friday, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. The initial crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-15 near Glendale at mile marker 88 about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas and caused the right southbound lane to be closed, trooper Chelsea Stuenkel said. The crash involved a motorcycle whose driver and passenger were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries, NHP said.
