Motorcyclist killed in Tuesday crash identified
This is the 14th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2015.
Laurence Anthony Brocato II, 29, of Las Vegas, died in a Tuesday evening motorcycle collision on Sahara Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. Melissa O’Brien, 51, was making a left turn from westbound Sahara Avenue when her vehicle was struck by Brocato, who was ejected from the motorcycle and crashed into a Ford Focus that was parked. He was pronounced deceased at the crash site. O’Brien and her passenger suffered minor injuries.

Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision.
