Man and woman riding stolen motorcycle killed; Peter Umoh, 56, and 3-year-old child injured in wreck on Oakey Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada

A man and a woman riding a stolen motorcycle died after crashing into a car Monday night in the central valley, Las Vegas police said. The crash happened about 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Oakey Boulevard and Duneville Street, a Tuesday morning release from Metro said. The motorcycle riders — a 44-year-old man and a woman — were pronounced dead at the scene, marking the 85th and 86th traffic-related fatalities in Metro's jurisdiction this year. The driver of the Mazda, Peter Umoh, 56, and his 3-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. The two were riding a 2009 Yamaha R1 westbound at a high rate of speed on Oakey when they entered the path of a 2010 Mazda 6, the release said.
