According to Trooper Jason Buratczuk, of Nevada Highway Patrol, a semi-truck carrying wood products was traveling northbound on U.S. 95 when a red passenger car, traveling southbound, swerved in front of the semi-truck and crashed.

The victim was identified by the Nevada Highway Patrol as 20-year-old Bryan Gonzalez of Pahrump. His official cause of death is still pending from the Nye County Coroner.
