NHP Identifies Teen Driver Killed in Head-On Crash South of Fernley

Trooper Chris Kelly of the Nevada Highway Patrol's Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (MIRT) is investigating this incident. According to the Nevada State Highway Patrol, on Sunday afternoon a black 2008 Saturn sedan driven by Megan Constance Amirr, 27, of Fernley, was southbound on 50A/95A just after noon when for reasons unknown she crossed the center line and struck a white 1988 Mercedes-Benz sedan driven by Isis Aline Fetty, 19, of Silver Springs. Fetty died at the scene, whild her passenger Allyson Marie F. Tansler, 40, was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center by Central Lyon County ambulance with serious non-life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, a 12-year-old girl, was treated for minor injuries.​ Amirr was also ransported to Renown with non-life-threatening injuries. Drugs are being investigated as a factor in the accident, and charges may be pending.
