The driver of the car, Leonard Akers, 55, of Wall, died of his injuries at an area hospital on Monday. A 44-year-old man driving the SUV was treated for injuries not considered life threatening, while the 62-year-old pickup driver was not hurt, police said. Both are Howell residents.
