A 72-year-old man from Virginia was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday while crossing a highway in Atlantic County, according to authorities. Police responded around 6:51 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Route 52 in Somers Point for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, Chief Robert C. Somers said Monday.
