Family members told investigators that the 80-year-old was sitting in his living room of the home along the White Horse Pike (U.S. Route 30) near Antwerp Avenue in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County, like he normally does at the time of the crash, Egg Harbor City Police Chief Marcella Aylwin said. The floor fell out from under him and he wound up in the basement.
