A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Honda passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on Route 31 when the vehicle struck John Gallic, 62, of Glen Gardner Borough, McNair said.

The State Police identified the man as John Gallic, 62, of Glen Gardner. He was walking in the 1.5-square-mile borough when he was struck and killed along Highway 31 at 10:01 p.m., police said.
