The driver of an automobile that was slightly damaged in the accident was unhurt.
It was about 12:20pm when a truck hauling brine on Route 17 was stopped in the left lane at the intersection with Williams Avenue, and another truck that was behind it and also hauling brine failed to slow down in time and rear-ended the first truck, as well as doing minor damage to a car in the center lane. The cab of the rear truck was smashed, trapping its driver inside and requiring that he be extricated, and they along with the driver of the other truck were both taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity. We will update this accident as more information is released.
