Man seriously injured in Jersey City crash; police tourniquet saved his life
A 35-year-old Jersey City man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while crossing a city street late Thursday night, authorities said. Police responding to the intersection of West Side and Boyd avenues at approximately 10:30 p.m. found the victim unconscious and with his right leg nearly severed at the knee, the police crash report said.
