A 32-year-old Newark man was killed early today when the driver of the car he was riding in lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned and slid on its roof across the New Jersey Turnpike, police said.

One man was killed and three people were injured when a car struck a concrete barrier on the New Jersey Turnpike in Newark early this morning.
The man, a passenger in the car, was ejected when the car lost control and hit a barrier while traveling northbound in the truck lanes at around 1:25 a.m., State Police said.

The woman driving the car was charged with driving while intoxicated, police said. Police have not yet identified anyone involved in the accident.
