Family killed in fiery New Jersey crash were from Louisville

An engaged couple and their young child killed in a fiery crash in New Jersey have been identified as Louisville residents. The Courier-Journal reports the Saturday crash killed 24-year-old Edward Russell Hitt; 21-year-old Briana Mae Anderson; and their one-year-old daughter, Charlotte Reagan Hitt. New Jersey state police say a man driving on a suspended license caused the chain-reaction crash on Interstate 80. The family was scheduled to be memorialized and buried in Crestwood, Kentucky, on Saturday. Authorities say two vehicles were stopped in traffic when an SUV driven by 22-year-old Bhavuk Uppal struck the Hitts' car from behind.
