At about 5:47 a.m., a motor vehicle crash was reported near mile-marker 41.7 on Route 287 North in Parsippany, State Police spokesperson Sgt. Jeff Flynn previously said. The driver was breathing but unconscious when troopers approached the vehicle, State Police spokesperson Sgt. First Class Greg Williams said.
Driver rushed to hospital in Route 287 crash
Kenny Franco, 20, of Bloomingdale was driving an Infiniti G35 sedan when he veered left off the road onto a gravel median, then struck a parked construction vehicle, went down an embankment, hit a guardrail and overturned.
The 20-year-old was taken to the hospital after being removed from the car by fire department volunteers. State Police deployed fatal accident and crime scene teams to investigate the crash, and information on the driver’s condition was not available.
