A 23-year-old man was unconscious and lying in the middle lane of traffic on Route 46 east when police arrived on the scene around 7:49 p.m. following multiple 911 calls, Parsippany police spokesman Officer Brian Conover said.
The man suffered internal injuries in the crash and was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment, Conover said. As of Wednesday morning, the man was listed in stable condition, he said.
