Police identify two men who died in Saturday Scotch Plains crash
The driver, Erick Pires, 19, from Newark, and front seat passenger Andre Timoteo, 20, of Roselle were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Two men were killed and another man was injured in a single-car accident on Route 22 in Scotch Plains on Saturday evening. When officers arrived, Donnelly said, they found a late model BMW on its side that had collided with a tree. It appears speed and wet road conditions were contributing factors.
