Gov. Chris Christie is currently out of state stumping for a GOP gubernatorial candidate in Arizona as chairman of the Republican Governor’s Association, making Guadagno acting governor. If Guadagno is unable to fill that role, Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-Gloucester) would serve as acting governor.
