A 36-year-old Toms River woman was driving east and tried to turn left off of Route 70 onto Whitesville Road when a westbound Freightliner truck collided with her car, "resulting in serious injuries," said Officer Ralph Stocco, a spokesman for the department. The crash happened just before 1 a.m.
