Officers are investigating a motorcycle crash that happened around 11:15 a.m. near eastbound Interstate 40 and San Mateo NE.
The motorcyclist has been sent to a hospital with serious injuries. In the meantime, the north ramp onto eastbound Interstate 40 and the far right northbound lane of San Mateo are closed.
It’s unclear, based on a preliminary email from Albuquerque police, whether more vehicles are involved. Investigators are waiting on word from the hospital.
