Police are investigating why a woman was on the train tracks before she was hit and killed by a New Mexico Rail Runner Express train.
The accident happened near Second Street and Prosperity Monday afternoon. More than 100 people were on the train at the time of the crash.
The victim has been identified as Mary Odell, 67, of Albuquerque. Circumstances surrounding her death are still under investigation.
Police are looking at surveillance video from the train and nearby businesses.
Passengers were put on buses to finish their trip.
