Police seek suspects who fled scene after fatal crash

APD says a passenger in the other vehicle was killed in the crash.

Police have not identified the victim but they say are searching for the suspects.

Police haven’t identified the victims, but the Journal has learned that a teenage girl was killed and her mother is in critical condition.

Groves faces charges of homicide (felony murder), unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, tampering with evidence, aggravated fleeing an officer, and two counts of aggravated battery with great bodily harm, according to the statement.

Officials say a tipster alerted authorities of Garcia’s whereabouts when they spotted him at a McDonald’s inside of a Walmart.

Just a month before that, Groves was caught driving a stolen car while breaking into mailboxes in Placitas[3]. Sheriff’s deputies say she tried to run over a deputy when he tried to arrest her.

Woman accused in deadly hit-and-run catches break in separate case

Police say fingerprints show Groves was the driver of that car, but now the case has been dropped. According to court documents, there was not enough evidence.
