Two people were killed in Northeast Albuquerque early Sunday morning — one shot to death, the other a pedestrian struck by a vehicle — and authorities say the two incidents may be connected.

An APD spokesperson says police responded to a 911 call, in which the caller said a man attempted to steal some tools at 4505 Montgomery Blvd. NE. The caller also told police he fired shots, and the man left the scene. That man was eventually found in the middle of Montgomery Blvd., and pronounced dead at the scene.
