According to police, a Toyota passenger vehicle was going east on Montaño in the left lane when a Chevrolet Camaro, also going east in the same lane but at high speed, hit the rear of the Toyota, causing both vehicles to lose control.

Both cars lost control and a passenger in the Toyota, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and sustained life-threatening injuries. The Camaro rolled over several times before hitting a cement block wall.
