Artesia drunk driver accused of causing crash injuring family
In the release Sgt. Elizabeth Armijo stated Blake Bollema is charged with one count each of aggravated DWI (2nd offense), fleeing the scene of an accident, failure to render aid and three counts of great bodily harm by vehicle (under the influence of alcohol or drugs). Bollema is also ticketed for failure to obey a stop sign.

The officer then attempts to do a breath test or get a blood sample from Bollema, which he also refuses. Bollema again asks about the family, then the two head out. The officer gets a search warrant and Bollema’s blood is drawn. It could take months before those results come back.
