After an investigation, deputies arrested Fernando Chavez-Molina. He is charged with leaving the scene of the crash. Chavez-Molina is being held at the Curry County Detention Center.

Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Quentin Ray, announced that 45-year-old Fernando Chavez-Molina of Clovis pled guilty to "Knowingly Leaving the Scene of an Accident (Great Bodily Harm or Death)" and "Attempted Tampering with Evidence" and was sentenced to four years.
