Two men were arrested on Interstate 87 late Saturday night on drunken driving charges after one intoxicated driver struck a State Police vehicle and the vehicle of the other intoxicated driver, troopers said.

Police: Trooper hit by drunk driver while making another drunk driving arrest

According to police, the driver of that vehicle, James Felter, 31, was also drunk. Felter refused medical treatment and was taken to the State Police barracks in Albany where he had a .16% BAC.

A police officer stopped Stefone Dreher on I-87. Dreher appeared to be intoxicated and failed sobriety tests, so he was arrested. While the officer was waiting for a tow truck to remove Dreher's vehicle, another vehicle struck both the police car and Dreher's vehicle. The driver, James A. Felter, was also intoxicated and arrested for DUI. Dreher and the officer were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
