Douglas Arnold, 62, killed, after he is struck by a car, driven by a 65-year-old woman, while riding his bicycle across Telegraph Road in Waterford.

The Waterford Police Department has released the name of a 62-year-old bicyclist who was killed Wednesday when he was hit by a vehicle near Telegraph Road. Douglas Arnold, of Pontiac, died at a local hospital after he was struck when trying to cross over Telegraph Road and Elizabeth Lake Road in the crosswalk around 2:50 p.m. Police said a vehicle, driven by a 65-year-old Monroe woman, was southbound on Telegraph when it hit Arnold. Waterford police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident.
