DOT: Seven-car crash due to speeding, following too close
According to the New York State Department of Transportation and the New York State Police, the crash happened just after 9 a.m. Friday near the Front Street exit The DOT said one vehicle was following too closely behind another when it rammed into the back of it. As a result, five other vehicles behind also collided.

According to the DOT, the crash was a result of vehicles traveling too close to each other and excessive speed through the work zone. The number of injuries is unknown at this time
