One teenager was killed and five other young adults were hurt Saturday, some seriously, in the collision of a car and a tractor-trailer in Genesee County, authorities said.
Woman sentenced for fatal Bethany crash
She was sentenced Monday to six months in jail and five years of probation.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Molasses Hill Road and Route 20 in the Town of Bethany, New York. Alyson Krzanak, 18, was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where she died. Brandon Danser, 21, of Batavia, and Jamie Scherer, 21, of Pembroke, were listed in guarded condition at University of Rochester Medical Center. The driver of the car, Hannah Dibble, 21, of Pembroke, and Gabrielle Uzarowski, 21, of Pembroke, were treated and released. Felicia Fazzio, 20, of Darien, was listed in in stable condition at Erie County Medical Center. The six were in a 1997 Geo Prism that failed to yield at a stop sign and colliding with the truck heading east on Route 20. Three who were injured were ejected from the vehicle. The truck driver, Leonard Odums, of Georgia, was not injured.
