Several tank cars carrying crude oil derailed on a train in the Broadway-Harlem Road area of Cheektowaga this morning, according to a spokesman for CSX.
Several tank cars carrying crude oil derailed on a train in the Broadway-Harlem Road area of Cheektowaga this morning, according to a spokesman for CSX.
Three cars are on their side and two are upright following the derailment, which occurred at about 9:30 a.m., according to CSX spokesman Bob Sullivan. There were no leaks or injuries.
The train was traveling from Chicago to Philadelphia, Sullivan said.
Crews are working to rerail the cars, while the cause of the derailment is under investigation, Sullivan said.
