Helen M. Wright, 78, killed in crash on Lake Avenue in Town of Lockport on May 31.

TOWN OF LOCKPORT – Police have identified the victim of Saturday’s fatal crash on Lake Avenue as Helen M. Wright, 78, of the Town of Newfane. Investigators are unsure why Wright’s car left the roadway and crashed into a driveway culvert and mailbox, before striking a tree at 12:44 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and a probe into the cause of the crash is continuing.
