A 52-year-old Buffalo woman died and a city man was injured when they were struck by a car as they walked across Kenmore Avenue, the Buffalo-Town of Tonawanda line, at about 4:55 p.m. Thursday.

Sandra Garner died in Erie County Medical Center of injuries suffered when she was struck by a car driven by Edward Spencer, 82, according to the Town of Tonawanda Police Department.
Kevin Nowak, 55, also of Buffalo, remained in the hospital Thursday night with injuries suffered in the accident.
The Town of Tonawanda Police Accident Investigation Unit, said Spencer was making a left turn out of a parking lot at 416 Kenmore Ave., and he struck the two pedestrians as they were crossing the street at about 465 Kenmore.
Police did not disclose Spencer’s address.
No charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation, Price said.
