2 seriously injured in ambulance-car crash in Bath
The ambulance, which was returning from a transport, crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided nearly head-on with a vehicle driven by Teresa L. Snyder, 48, of Bath, troopers said.
A Bath woman was critically injured when her car crashed with an ambulance Wednesday afternoon. The ambulance, owned by Fingerlakes Ambulance and driven by Jami L. Haag, 29, of Geneva, was heading north on state Route 54 around 2:40 p.m. when it swerved around another vehicle that was slowing down, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided nearly head-on with a vehicle driven by Teresa L. Snyder, 48. Snyder was taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where she is in critical condition. A paramedic on board the ambulance, David Forester, 55, of Dansville, was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is listed in guarded condition. Haag and another passenger in the ambulance sustained no injuries.
