Kerry Hamill, 40, and one child killed in multi-vehicle collision with commercial truck on Interstate 684 in Bedford, New York

At approximately 2:30 p.m.,  Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 684, south of exit 4, involving six vehicles.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a box truck operated by Henry Valencia, age 59, of Bronx, NY, was unable to stop due to icy road conditions and struck another vehicle which was stopped in traffic.
