32-year-old man critically injured after his car overturns while traveling the wrong way on Central Avenue in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn, New York

A 32-year-old man was in critical condition after his car overturned in Bushwick early Wednesday morning, police said. The man was driving the wrong way, northbound, on Central Ave. at 4:38 a.m. when he attempted to make a hard left turn onto George St., police said. The driver, who police did not immediately identify, was thrown from his silver Mazda as the car flipped onto its side, police said. "He was lying on the ground, they were doing CPR a witness said. They were working on him for a long time. He was shaking and not moving besides that." Emergency responders rushed the man to Woodhull Hospital, where he was listed in grave condition. Police were investigating the crash.
