Two dead, two injured in Brooklyn car crash

A Nissan Maxima traveling south on Flatbush Avenue slammed into a BMW X5 turning from the northbound lane of Flatbush onto Avenue U in Marine Park at 6:40 p.m., according to cops.

The accident happened at the intersection of Flatbush Ave. and Ave. U shortly before 6:40 p.m. Stomach-turning video footage of the crash in Marine Park shows the Nissan Maxima smash into the SUV. The driver, a 20-year-old man, and his passenger, an unidentified female, were killed.

Two people were killed and two others injured after a horrific car wreck in south Brooklyn on Monday evening, cops said.

An SUV collided with a second vehicle at the intersection of Flatbush Ave. and Ave. U in Marine Park about 6:38 p.m.

The force of the crash ripped apart one of the vehicles, which came to rest after slamming into a pole. The two fatalities were dead at the scene, officials said. Two others suffered only minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital, officials said.

Police are investigating.
