Police: Driver Charged After Bicyclist Struck And Killed In Brooklyn Crash

According to police, a silver Honda Accord was heading westbound on Avenue P when it went through a red light at the intersection, hitting a black Infinity that had a green light on East 12th Street.

Police said the crash caused the two vehicles to careen into a bicyclist, who was seen on surveillance video crossing the street just before the moment of impact.

The witness spoke of construction updates and a new stoplight, and how these efforts to modernize the road had not sufficiently deterred speeders.

When negligent conduct like impaired driving leads to a fatality, survivors often seek compensation in the state’s civil courts.
