No arrests have been made and the victim’s identity was not immediately released.
A man was driving a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie at about 9:30 p.m. when he was struck by a 1991 Volvo, driven by a 66-year-old man, who was heading southbound on Rockaway Parkway and was turning onto Avenue J when he collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A 20-year-old passenger on the motorcycle sustained minor injuries.
