One killed in Newburgh crash between SUV and garbage truck

Town police said the 11 a.m. collision occurred as the SUV was traveling eastbound on Route 32 and struck the truck from behind. The truck had turned right from Paffendorf onto eastbound Route 32, police said.

Man killed in crash with garbage truck ID’d as town of Newburgh resident

Wilbur Grant, 57, died at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital after the crash at 11 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Route 32 (North Plank Road) and Paffendorf Drive, town police said Tuesday.
