Meliana Ward was crossing Astoria Boulevard in East Elmhurst at about 10 p.m. when she was hit by a Q47 bus that was making a right turn from 80th Street onto Astoria Boulevard.
A woman crossing a Queens street Wednesday night was hit and killed by a city bus making a right turn. EMS workers took the woman to Elmhurst Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The bus driver stayed at the scene.
